The NFL draft tonight has many new prospects wondering where they are going to go. Although the first and second pick are already set at Andrew Luck and RGIII respectively, the third pick for the Minnesota Vikings is completely up in the air. There are 4 top level prospects available at the third position, but the Minnesota Vikings are expecting to hear their phone going off the hook with trade offers. In my opinion, the Vikings 3rd overall pick will be traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who currently hold the 5th overall pick. The Buccaneers, with a strong offensive line, are in desperate need of a professional calibur running back. This role would be filled easily by the Alabama running back Trent Richardson, one of the top prospects in the draft. Once Richardson is taken, the 4th overall pick, held by the Browns, may also be traded away since they wanted Richardson, or they will settle for the Wide Reciever Justin Blackmon. Overall, the draft, starting at 8pm tonight, looks to be very exciting and features a lot of possible trades for key players.

Knicks Win Big Over Bucks

On Wednesday night, April 11th, the New York Knicks won a big away game versus the Milwaukee Bucks. With the regular season closing in quickly, and the Knicks in 8th place in their conference, Carmelo Anthony and company pulled together a big win versus the 9th placed Milwaukee Bucks. This win will nearly secure the 8th and final spot in the eastern conference to the New York Knicks. In the game, Camrmelo Anthony put up 32 points. It would seem that missing point guard Jeremy Lin and power forward Amare Stoudamire to injury is causing Anthony to play even harder then before. The Knicks next game is versus the Washington Wizards, Friday April 13th at 7:30pm.

Cafe Press Gives Away One Million Bumper Stickers

An artistic design company named Café Press announced their One Million Bumper Sticker Giveaway on March 6^th due to the caucuses taking place on Super Tuesday.

Café Press is a company that specializes in artist-designed t-shirts, clothing, accessories, housewares and gifts. The bumper stickers they are giving away support both the democratic and the republican parties, by offering a variety of stickers for both Obama and the GOPs.

This give-away was introduced on March 6^th and will continue until April 6^th, or until the maximum number of bumper stickers have been shipped out.

Although these stickers are said to be ‘free’, there is a shipping cost of $1.25 for U.S. destinations, $3 for Canadian destinations and $4 for international destinations.

The company is sending out these stickers in hopes of getting more and more trafficking to their website. So as people follow the information to get their sticker shipped, they can also browse the artistic material that the company is trying to sell.

This desire for increased trafficking can also be seen when visiting the website to receive the bumper sticker. Once you get onto the webpage, directly above your sticker choice is a header that states, ”SALE! TAKE 30% OFF YOUR ORDER!” with a listed coupon code to redeem on their website. This shows how the ‘Sticker Giveaway’ is being used to increase their companies sales by offering a meaningless discount to all those who visit the site in which the giveaway is occurring.

This Bumper Sticker Giveaway by Café Press is the company giving all those actively involved in the presidential race a chance to get a bumper sticker while tricking them into browsing an artistic design store rather than trying to get them to browse their store fairly as we have.
